About TOMBUL
Every jar of TOMBUL begins with a simple idea — that a hazelnut spread should taste like real hazelnuts. No palm oil, no emulsifiers, no artificial colors or flavors — just five honest ingredients blended with care: roasted Turkish hazelnuts, cane sugar, cocoa powder, hazelnut oil, and skim milk powder.
We use 35% hazelnuts in every jar — that’s three times more than most other spreads. You can taste it in every spoonful: rich, nutty, and deeply satisfying.
Our hazelnuts come from the lush, green hillsides of Turkey’s Black Sea region — Rainforest Alliance Certified for sustainability and quality. The variety we use is called Tombul, known as the crown jewel of Turkish hazelnuts. And yes, “tombul” does mean chubby in Turkish… but we promise, that’s not why we chose the name (even if our jars are a little round and adorable). We named it TOMBUL because that’s the actual breed of hazelnut we use — prized for its buttery flavor, natural sweetness, and smooth texture.
We make TOMBUL in small batches, the old-fashioned way — slow roasted, gently mixed, and never rushed. It’s scratch-made, all-natural, and crafted with respect for both people and the planet, because we believe better ingredients make a better world.
